Playtech and Microgaming Gear Up With New Halloween Slots

Playtech and Microgaming Gear Up With New Halloween Slots.

With Halloween only a month away, it’s currently haunting season in the online casino world – and both Playtech and Microgaming have provided sneak peeks at their latest selection of spooky Halloween slots.

The former company have decided to stick with the tried and tested and release a sequel to their hugely popular Halloween Fortune, while the latter have surprised us somewhat with a completely new game titled Lost Vegas – which appears to be the Walking Dead meets downtown Sin City!

Dealing with the two games in order, Halloween Fortune II is a fairly conventional five-reel, 25-payline title that boasts a lucrative free spins feature as its main selling point. Available to play from as little as £0.25 per spin, the three witches from the first game will return as stacked symbols on all the reels, while a sticky pumpkin wild will feature during the bonus games to boost your winnings.

Lost Vegas, however, looks to be a bit more ground-breaking. The game will feature five reels and 243 ways to win, but players will have two base game modes to choose from – playing either as the survivors or as the zombies. Each base game mode will offer two unique features, with survivors benefitting from the Zombie Fist of Cash – a randomly triggered instant win bonus – and a free spins mode in which all lower value icons will be removed from the reels and “stashed” for cash prizes.

While playing in zombie mode, meanwhile, the reels may be affected by the randomly triggered Blackout Bonus. This awards instant win cash prizes for any higher value symbols that are present on the reels, while free spins will also be triggered by just one scatter symbol. Free spins in zombie mode come with a modifier where any stacked zombie symbol that completely fills a column will cause that reel to become “infected”, causing more substitute wilds to appear on each new spin.

Although both games are certain to prove big hits with their respective fan bases, we have to say that the unique concept and novelty factor behind Lost Vegas makes it one that we’re particularly looking forward to – especially as we haven’t seen many new releases from Microgaming this year.

Both titles are due to be released at some point in October, and you can rest assured that Mobile Casino Man will have full reviews ready of these Halloween slots waiting for you the moment they hit our screens.
